Lifting Thimbles have been designed to be used with wire rope anchors set into the concrete during the pour of precast concrete construction. They allow the D/d ratio of the wire rope to retain the correct diameter over the bearing point for a safe and compliant lift. This new precast lifting method is replacing traditional face and edge lifting pins / clutches, particularly in heavier lifts such as bridge girders and headstocks
